William Arthur Chambless, Sr.

William Arthur Chambless Sr., 82, of Shreveport, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on December 23, 2022. William was born on June 1, 1940 in Shreveport to Jack Chambless Sr. and Pearl Lolis Chambless.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home-2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. Funeral services honoring the life of William will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rich Varner. Interment will be held at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery-8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108.

William graduated from Haughton High School. After high school, he worked for AT&T for 32 ½ years. In his free time, William enjoyed watching football, listening to bluegrass music, and spending time with his family.

William is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Iris M. Chambless; sons, Bill Chambless and wife Martha, and Mark Chambless and wife Kim; granddaughter, Amy Lovell and husband Kaiser; grandson, Willie Chambless; and great-grandson, Thomas Leard.

Honoring William as pallbearers will be Rodney Teutsch, Roy Noble, Dale Teutsch, Steve Lavery, Heath Teutsch, and Ron Rice. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Willie Chambless, Eugene Noble, Michael Cole, and Thomas Laird.

The family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Center.
