A funeral service honoring the life of William Robert Daugherty will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Trinity Heights Baptist Church, 3820 Old Mooringsport Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Billy Crosby and Brother Dan Lay, Jr. will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery, 5185 Swan Lake Spur, Bossier City, Louisiana.
William Robert Daugherty was born November 12, 1963, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Billy Bob and Marlene Wilson Daugherty and passed away peacefully Sunday, May 24, 2020, at his home in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Robbie was a true patriot who loved red, white, and blue, the American flag, fire trucks and the Thunderbirds. He worked at Frost Industries at the James Conly Center for nearly 35 years doing various jobs. He enjoyed spending his time going on adventures and hanging out at the farm. He was a faithful member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church for 50 years. As a strong Christian man, the love he had for Jesus and his friends was like no other. He will always be remembered for his shoulder hugs, smile, and joyous laughter. His family will always hold dear the time they were able to spend in "Robbie's World".
Robbie is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Ray Daugherty; grandparents; aunts and uncles, and many loved ones.
Left to cherish his memory are brothers, Greg Daugherty and girlfriend, Kitty, Gary Daugherty, Roger Daugherty and wife, Debbie, Thomas Daugherty and girlfriend, Traci; sister, Susan Daugherty and fiancé, Scooter; special aunt, Sue Giddens; uncle, Steve Wilson and wife, Jackie, his favorite dog that God gave him, Miller, and numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family members.
Honoring Robbie as pallbearers will be his brother, Greg Daugherty, nephews, Craig Weaver, Trent Daugherty, Drew Hudson and Jerry Williams and special friend, Jimmie Dickey. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jewell Bonnette, Harry Smith, Kevin Thompson, and Tony Moffett.
