William Caleb "Dub" Dean, Jr.

Funeral services for William Caleb “Dub” Dean, Jr., 94, will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Sean Embree.

Dub was born on December 14, 1928 in Haynesville, Louisiana to William Caleb Dean, Sr. and Vitae Smith Dean and passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dub was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ for 68 years. He served as an Elder for many years. He worked in construction as a carpenter and cabinet maker. He loved the Lord and shared it. He also loved his family. He was an animal lover and raised many kinds of animals.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Helen Dean; second wife, Emma Dean; brothers, Alvis Dean and Charles Dean; sisters, Katie Mae Haddox, Corrine Taylor, Alice Coon, Emma Coon and Cora Smythe. Left to cherish his memory are his children, William Dean and wife, Juanita, daughter, Margaret Anderson and husband, Lee, son, Clyde Dean and wife, Debbie; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Honoring Dub as pallbearers will be Kent Cella, Collin Cella, Gene Ware, C.E. Gore, Brett Pierce, and Todd Moore.
