Mr. Durham was born in Conway, Arkansas on February 24, 1926 and grew up in Little Rock, AR, where he met his future wife while delivering telegrams on his bicycle at 16 years old.
On March 27, 1948, he married his soulmate and together they had 6 children, which they raised while stationed all over the U.S. and several deployments.
Mr. Durham is a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force and served in WW II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
In 1989 Mr. Durham survived a battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer and went on to live life to the fullest until 92 years old, where he passed away peacefully in his home on April 10, 2018, with his loving wife by his side and surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Durham is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Mrs. Grace Adele Durham, 4 of their 6 children, William Duncan Durham III and his wife Billie, Dawn Durham, Debby Durham-Bison and her husband Paul, Diane Durham and her husband Anthony, his grandchildren Ben Bess, Beau Durham, Lacey Durham-DelValle and her husband Josh, Reed Bison and wife Kacey, Jessica and Michael Durham, great-grandchildren Jaeden, Mekhi, Brently, Sailor, Adeline and Scarlet.
Mr. Durham is preceded in death by his children David and Dixie Durham, his parents Pauline Henderson and William Duncan Durham Sr, and his little sister Alma Ann Durham.
Services for Mr. Durham will be located at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on Monday April 16, 2018 at 2pm.
