William Henry Gammill

Shreveport, LA - Graveside service for William Henry Gammill, 81, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Rocky Maddox of Rose Park Baptist Church. William was born March 15, 1934 in New Orleans, LA and went to be with his Lord on April 25, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. He served our country in the Navy Coast Guard and National Guard during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a faithful longtime member of Rose Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by mother, Irene Dunbar; brother, Sonny Gammill; step-father, Theo Bowie Dunbar (Speedy). Left to cherish his memory is his lovely wife of 47 years, Ann Gammill; sons, Mark McCreary and wife, Mindy of Bossier City, LA; sister, Sandra Brock of Houston, TX; niece, Allison of Houston, TX; son, Jay Gammill of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, William McCreary, Anna Marie McCreary, Christer Alan Chambers of Haughton, LA; and great-grandson, Clayton Chambers of Haughton, LA.
