William "Bill" Hall, Sr.

William "Bill" Hall, Sr.

William "Bill" Cella Hall, Sr. passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born December 29, 1931 in Madisonville, Tennessee to John Franklin and Carrie Mae Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service in Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana.

William served his country in the United States Air Force and served as a Caddo Parish Sheriff Deputy Reserve Officer for over 40 years. He was also a member of The Shriners and was a 33rd Degree Mason. William retired from the Caddo Parish School Board, where he served as a body shop instructor at the Career Center for over 20 years. He worked at numerous auto body shops and was known as one of the best body repairmen and painters in the state. He was a mentor to many young men and women in the city and he will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Hall and his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, William Hall, Jr., Ronnie Hall, Michael Hall and wife, Melissa, and Wendell Delany; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters; a brother; and a host of family and friends.

Honoring William as pallbearers will be Wendell Delaney, Tederyll W. James, Roy Lee Washington, Sr., David Johnson, Bobby Dickey and Dustin Hall.

The family suggests any memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, Florida 33607.
