William H. "Billy" Kelly
Bossier City, LA - William H. Kelly, 86, passed away March 10, 2016. Graveside services celebrating his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Forest Park Cemetery, with Rev. Emile Rousseau officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. funeral home.
William H. (Billy) Kelly was born on March 14, 1929 in Shreveport, LA to Clara Webb and Henderson Kelly. William honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a farmer and lifetime member of the community in Dixie and Belcher, LA, where he lived with his wife, Barbara, and his three sons. He was president of the board of Quality Gin in Belcher, LA where he also worked. Being an outdoorsman, he was an avid camper, fisherman, and hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Edwena Wilson and Betty Kelly Bicknell. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Barbara Kelly: sons, William S. (Steve) Kelly, John S. (Scott) Kelly and wife, Vickie, and Roger W. Kelly and wife, Jill; brother Kendall W. Kelly and wife, Rose; brother-in-law, Richard (Dick) Zachry; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
