William Edward Oliver

Memorial services celebrating the life of William Edward "Billy" Oliver, 87, will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 5859 Buncombe Rd., Shreveport, LA, with Rev. Chad Hardbarger officiating. The family will receive guests immediately before the service at 9:30 AM at the church. Billy was in the optical business for over 50 years, where he diligently served the needs of his community. Additionally, he was a master craftsman, specializing in woodworking and model aircraft design. Billy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria Warren Oliver; children, Chuck (Debbie) Oliver and Angela (Jeff) Reed; grandchildren, Taylor Gamel, Nick Oliver and Katie Reed; and three great grandsons. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church ot to charity of your choosing.
