Bossier City, LA - William Wade Patterson died Friday, January 8, 2016 in Bossier City from complications of an illness. Services for him will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 11, 2016 at First Baptist Bossier Faith Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Brad Jurkovich. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be Monday in Faith Chapel from 12 Noon until service time.
His parents, Charlene Patterson and William "Pat" Patterson and sister, Dorothy Antee preceded Wade in death.
He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Reeves Patterson, a son, Jeffery Wade Patterson and his wife, Stacey, a daughter, Regina Marie Jackson and her husband, Glenn. Grandchildren; Kaylyn Brooke Jackson, Andrew Wade Patterson, Hunter Wade Jackson and Dylan Chase Patterson. Brothers; James Patterson, David Patterson and his wife, Paula, many nieces and nephews.
A strong Christian man who loved his family and friends. He was a member at First Baptist Bossier for many years. He was an Airline High School graduate and then attended Northwestern College. He married his high school sweetheart Carolyn in 1968. Later he joined the United States Army and served for several years. Wade was a custom home builder and developer. He was also an active member of the local and national Home Builders Association.
Wade and Carolyn loved riding their Harley, fishing and traveling. Wade also has a passion for collecting vintage trucks/cars and watching football for hours. He was a loving husband, an amazing father and a PopPop who loved his grandbabies. He will be missed greatly by his family and many, many friends.
Honoring Wade as pallbearers will be Bil Johnson, Don Thurmond, Jaybird, Stacy Dart, James Clayton, Mark Salmon, Merv Magee, Bobby Mackey and Falvio Rodriguez.
The family has requested that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner Children's Hospital.
