William David Payne

Kelly, LA William David Payne was born on July 26, 1954 to Margaret and Bill Payne. He entered into rest June 24, 2020 at his home in Kelly, Louisiana after a short battle with lung cancer. William, better known as David to all who knew and loved him. David grew up in Doyline, Louisiana and resided there most of his life. He was very passionate about a lot of things. He loved OTR truck driving, hunting, and fishing. David was also very passionate about his family; he was a loving and caring father, grandfather and brother. William is preceded in death by his father, Bill Payne and stepfather, Marvin Hall. He is survived by his mother Margaret H. Hall, brothers, J.D. Payne, Steve Payne, Kevin Payne, sisters, Rhonda Dick, Jennifer Crawford, and Leigh Hall; children, son Christopher Rhodes and wife Audrey, daughter, Cynthia Payne and fiance, Johnny Barnard, son William Payne II; grandchildren, Cameron Rhodes, Dustin Payne and fiancée Bekah Seegers, Coby Payne and fiancée Katelyn Miles, Brandon Rhodes, Siera Payne, Jasmine Grafton, Daniel Tripp, three great grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad lived a full and happy life with those he loved. Funeral services for William David Payne will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Steven Cripps officiating. Interment will follow at Point Chapel Cemetery in Doyline, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2020 at Rose-Neath in Minden.
