SHREVEPORT, LA- A Memorial Mass for the immediate family of William "Bill" Edwin Powell, 84, will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Stonewall, LA. Service and interment will follow.
Bill was born on August 23, 1929 in Shreveport and passed away on July 3, 2014. He attended St. John Berchmans Cathedral and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, was a resident of Shreveport, a graduate of St. John's High School, and attended Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. He was a retired real estate broker and served in numerous activities in Laguna Beach, CA. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn G. Powell, Sr. and Emma Lucille Lacobee Powell and brother, Lynn Powell, Jr. He is survived by his aunt, Aline Cox; siblings, C. David "Bubba" Powell and wife, Claudette, Joyce Hays and deceased husband, John D., Robert P. "Bob" Powell and wife Mary, John Wayne Powell, and numerous nephews and nieces.
