William "Big Jerry" Watson

Shreveport, LA - Graveside services for William "Big Jerry" Watson will be 12 noon on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Officiating will be Calvin Kimble, pastor for the Shreveport Police Department. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Jerry was born April 9, 1954 in Shreveport, LA and died February 25, 2018 in Bossier City. He retired as a jailer from the Shreveport Police Department. Jerry was a member of the Elks Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Son of American Legion, LA Bow Hunters Association and of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Watson. Jerry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jackie Watson of Shreveport; son, Jeremy Watson and wife, Jennifer of Bossier City; daughter, Jennie Watson of Shreveport; sister, Candy Waugh and husband, Jerry of Shreveport; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and many longtime friends.
