William "Bill" Gaston, Jr.

Funeral services honoring the life of William "Bill" Gaston, Jr. will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Officiating will be Rev. Ken Norton. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Bill was born on March 19, 1951 in Panama City, FL and passed away on March 6, 2018 in Bossier City, LA, following a short battle with cancer. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. Bill was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bossier City. He was also a member of IATSE Local 298 and SHARKS Flying Club and enjoyed building his radio controlled airplanes. He was a well-known musician around the Bossier and Shreveport area. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Gaston, Sr. Left to celebrate his life are his children, Courtney Gaston and Caleb Gaston and wife, Olivia; grandson, Rory Norton; his mother, Frances M. Gaston; sister, Jan Gaston Martin Taylor; nephew, Kris Martin and wife, Amy; great niece, Kayla Martin; great nephew, Kaige Martin and a host of lifelong friends. He was loved and admired by all who knew him. Honoring Bill as pallbearers are Stan Rice, Darrell Wilson, Matt Dickerson, Eric Bradford, Steve Pratt, Bruce McFarlane, Jeremy Lester, and Adam Boyd. The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Bill's friends, Gina, Stan, Linda (and Jack for his patience), Gwen and Paul for all the loving care and devotion given to Bill over the past five months.
