Graveside services honoring the life of William "Bill" Reynold Thomas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Noble Cemetery in Noble, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Jimmy Price.
Bill was born on May 26, 1944 in Pontiac, Michigan to Reynold and Florence Thomas. He entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2020 in Benton, Louisiana.
Bill succumbed to a lengthy battle with Leukemia. He was a very generous, caring, and spontaneous person. Bill enjoyed celebrating Christmas with his loved ones and traveling. He proudly served in the military as a Vietnam Era Veteran. He loved God, his country, and his family. Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 40 years. His favorite moments were time spent with his family.
Preceding Bill in death are his parents, Reynold and Florence Thomas; the love of his life and wife of 52 years, Nancy Thomas; brothers, Ronald C. Thomas and Garold Bruce Thomas.
He is survived by his son, William "Barney" Thomas and wife Cathy of Converse, LA; daughters, Deborah Leatherwood and husband Donny of Benton, LA and Donna Richardson and husband Billy of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Josh Leatherwood, Jessica Trahan, Holly Leatherwood, Breech Leatherwood, Hannah Renftle, Kyle Richardson, Benjamin Richardson, Aaron Thomas, Sarah Thomas, and Brittany Lawhorn; along with sixteen great-grandchildren.
Honoring Bill as pallbearers will be Andrew Richardson, Kyle Richardson, Benjamin Richardson, Breech Leatherwood, Zackery Richardson, and Michael Thomas. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Roger Dale Winfree, Paul E. "Hoot" Rayborn, and Aaron Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or to a charity of your choice.
