Funeral services for William "Woody" Richards, 71 of Simsboro, Louisiana will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in Arcadia, Louisiana. Brother Donnie Underwood will be officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Cook Cemetery in Ruston. William "Woody" Richards was born September 17, 1949, to Guy Richards, Jr. and Martha Goss Richards in Alexandria, Louisiana and passed away July 13, 2021, in West Monroe, Louisiana. Woody grew up in Ruston, Louisiana and was a dedicated veteran who loved the Air Force, planes were one of his greatest passions. He worked for Weyerhaeuser for 34 years and was a loyal member of First United Pentecostal Church of Arcadia where he served as an usher. He worked in the food pantry at the church as well as the prison ministry. Woody loved people, especially his family, he will be greatly missed by all. Woody is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jane Richards; Stepchildren, Jimmy Lonidier Jr., Johnny Lonidier, Danny Lonidier, Mike Lonidier, and Michelle Lonidier Cook; brother, Sammy Richards and wife Debbie; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, Whitney Wright, and Macey Richards; many other cousins and loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be Dennis Colvin, Daniel Lonidier, Danny Lonidier, Jacob Cash, Rodney Williams, and Branson Morris. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Jones.
