William "Sam" David Barnette

A graveside service to celebrate the life of William “Sam” David Barnette, 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at Harmony Chapel Cemetery, 1074 LA-152, Dubach, LA 71235. Officiating the service will be Brother Cecil Marr.

Sam was born on March 23, 1940, in Delhi, Louisiana, to Fred Taylor Barnette and Christine Post Barnette, and he passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Sam was married to the love of his life Kathy Barnette for 60 years. His hobbies include fishing and hunting. He enjoyed being with his kid, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Sam is going to be greatly missed by all.  

Sam is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Donald Ray Barnette and Jerry Wayne Barnette. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Barnette; daughters, Kim Cline and husband, Chris, Carla Clemens and husband Ben; grandkids, Nasha Turner and husband Jonathan, Aaron Ward and wife, Lauren, and Carlea Clemens and fiancé Taylor Logan; and numerous great-grandkids.

Honoring Sam as pallbearers will be Ben Clemens, Jonathan Turner, Aaron Ward, Chris Cline, Mark Ledbetter, and Jeff Burnham.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
