William "Billy" Thomas Wynn

William Thomas Wynn, known to most of his family and friends as Billy, passed away in Shreveport, Louisiana on Sunday, January 19, 2025. He peacefully left this earth in the early morning hours with his children by his side, knowing that he was loved and not alone.

Billy was born in Minden, Louisiana, on August 12, 1947, to William and Alice. He grew up in Minden with his two brothers, Tommy and Charles, and sister, Mary Alice. At the age of 20, he was drafted into the United States Army and served his country in the Vietnam War. After serving his country, he worked in the oil and gas industry, was a carpet installer, and held roles in sales and store management until retiring at the age of 75. Billy enjoyed hunting at his deer lease, watching LSU and Saints Football, and spending time with his friends at T. K’s. You could also find him attending his grandson, Hunter's, many ball games. He was strong-willed, opinionated, and quick-witted; but he would do anything for you.

He is survived by his daughter, Christina Finnerty, her spouse, Christopher, and their son, Kaden; son, Timothy Wynn, his spouse, Ashley, and their children, Hunter, Tinley, and Hudson. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Alice Cox, her spouse, Wesley, and their daughters, Jennifer, Stephanie, and Elizabeth; brother, Charles Askins and his son, Mason Askins; nephew, Michael Wynn; uncle, Thomas Odell Roberts; and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Cornell, and brother, Tommy Wynn.

The visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana.
