Willie Junior Berry

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Willie J. Berry, 88, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Brother James Hoover. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. until 12 Noon. Willie was born on May 5, 1927 in Marthaville, LA to Willie Jackson and Eva Mae Ewing Berry and passed away suddenly on September 23, 2015. Willie proudly served his country in the United States Army. He met and married the love of his life, Mary Juanita Berry. Willie had a passion for building and craftsmanship. He and Juanita built their own home which they enjoyed immensely. Among his many talents he loved bird hunting and fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors. He was a member of Team Shadow Metal Detecting Club for numerous years and was an avid football fan. Willie was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Louise Hughes, Hazel Baronette and Anne Veuleman; brothers, Wayne Allen and Fred Berry; and son-in-law, David L. Booth. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Sherry Sue Beck and husband, James, and Vickie D. Booth; grandchildren, Renee`Bornkessel, James Beck and Darlene Courtney; great-grandchildren, Quinlan Beck, Maighan Beck, Hunter Beck, Rowan Bornkessel, Lars Bornkessel, Drayden Bornkessel, Nikolai Bornkessel, Austin Giddens and Paxton Courtney; sister, Jody Keller and husband, Jimmy, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He will be greatly missed.
