A celebration of life service for Willie Lee Brewer, Sr. will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. David Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Vivian, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Willie was born March 15, 1936 in Simpson, Louisiana and entered into rest June 22, 2018 in Minden, Louisiana. He was a highly sought after second generation general contractor. He traveled all over the world through the success of his company, Brewer Brothers Construction, which was listed as a Fortune 500 business. He enjoyed volunteering with disaster relief for the Red Cross, a successful country music songwriter, composer and talent agent with Brewer Talent, writing many songs. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, kind hearted and loved the Lord.
Everyone he taught a trade to, learned this saying: "Got to get up early in the morning to beat Uncle Sonny Boy."
He is survived by his teenage sweetheart and wife of 63 years, Hazel Brewer, son, Willie Brewer, Jr. of Minden, daughters, Carolyn Velchoff of Texas, Sheryl Ann Nichols of Arkansas, Tonya Michelle Brewer Dantes of Minden, sister, Violet Koroluk of Texas, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
All pallbearers will be nephews; James Brewer, Chris Adams, Blakely Sanders, Tony Castellano, Andrew Adams, and Robert Carte.
Honorary pallbearer will be Dave Diviney.
