Willie Culver

Funeral services for Willie "Aline" Culver, 92, will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gary Cavalier of Life Church. Aline was born on May 22, 1928 to Willie D. Choate and Gertrude Jones Choate in Simsboro, Louisiana and passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Aline was a resident of Shreveport and was a sales clerk before she retired. She was a member of Life Church. Children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were her hobby. She loved them all dearly. They were the light of her life! Aline was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 68 years, J.H. Culver; two grandchildren; and eight siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Billy D. Culver and wife, Janis, Ruby A. Spohrer and husband, Pat, Diana E. Mauldin and husband, Terry, Michael W. Culver and wife, Patty; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews; and other family members. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Joseph Jones for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Aline during her life.
