SHREVEPORT, LA - Celebration of Life services for Bettye Culver Sharbeno, 80, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 12, 2014, in the sanctuary of Rose-Neath Southside with Pastor Mark Bray of Summer Grove United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Park St. Vincent, Shreveport, LA. The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Thursday, September 11, 2014, from the hours of 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Bettye was born July 27, 2014, in Liberty Hill, Louisiana to the late S. K. and Cora Minnie Wright Culver and was called from this earth September 8, 2014, in Shreveport, LA. She was retired from the Catholic Diocese of Shreveport.
Bettye was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband; David Sharbeno, two sisters; Mildred Douglas and husband Raymond, Eva Burnley and husband Percy, four brothers; Bruce J. Culver, Thomas Culver and wife Kathy, Charles Culver and wife Jane, J. H. Culver, two brothers-in-law; Felix Strother and Don Buehler, and one sister-in-law; Dorothy and husband Ed Scheck. Left to cherish the wonderful memories Bettye leaves behind will be one son; Bruce Friday and wife Susan, one daughter; Sharlotte Sharbeno, one sister; Marie Buehler, two sisters-in-law; Aline Culver and Ina Culver, two brothers; Billy Culver and wife Margie, Ronald Culver and wife Billie Jo, nine grandchildren; Christyna Sims, Bradley, Brittany and Felicia Friday, Kimberley Wyatt, Samantha Kinskern, Toby Jones and wife Mollie, Skyi Edwards and Lazarus Wright, five great-grandchildren; Mackenzie Sims, Madison Wyatt, Hailey Lewis, Chloe Lewis and Alli Reid, along with numerous extended family members, many wonderful friends and all her beloved fur babies.
Honoring Bettye as pallbearers will be Kirk Brodd, Rickey Young, Kyle Leckie, Chip Strother, Clinton Strother, Tyler Strother and Lee Douglas.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Goel and Lalena families for their continuous support and to everyone for all of the prayers. A special thank you, to the hospital and nursing staff of ICU at W-K South.
