Yvette Waxham

SHREVEPORT, LA - A celebration of life service for Yvette Floyd Waxham, 42, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017, at Airline Drive Church of Christ, Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Brother Ben Brewster. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA 71101. Yvette was born July 31, 1974 in Shreveport, LA to Connie and Carroll Floyd and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2017. Yvette attended Guy's Academy in Shreveport after graduating from C.E. Byrd High School and was the owner and operator of Fireflies Hair Salon. She loved music, dancing and writing. She had an eye for fashion with a great sense of style. Yvette had a kind, loving compassionate spirit and a servant's heart, always caring and doing for others. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom she loved dearly. She loved the Lord and shared Jesus with anyone who would listen. Yvette will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Wayland Waxham; parents, Connie and Carroll Floyd; mother and father in-law, Carolyn and Tom Waxham; two sons, Zac Clary and Luke Slabaugh; two sisters, Alana Faktor and husband Charles, and Stacy Scott and husband Breck; niece and nephews, Adeline, Garrett, and Payne Faktor and Lawson, Sumner, and Owen Scott and was dearly loved by her aunts and uncles, Sharon and Buster Netherton, Linda and Jim Howard, Brenda Zastrow and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. Honoring Yvette as pallbearers will be: Zac Clary, Luke Slabaugh, Garrett, Payne, and Adeline Faktor, Lawson, Sumner, and Owen Scott, and Randy Fogg. Honorary pallbearers will be: Teaven, Trenton, Ryan, and Robert Redstone, and Scott Halstead.
