Yvonne Bennett Micinski

Yvonne Bennett Micinski, 90, passed away in her home in Shreveport, Louisiana, on Friday, March 31, 2023. She was born in San Francisco, California. Yvonne moved to the Shreveport-Bossier City area in 1980.

Yvonne was an avid and accomplished golfer, playing regularly at the Northwood Hills Country Club in Shreveport. She supported Shriners Children's Shreveport in her roles with Daughters of the Nile. An acclaimed pastry and baker, she shared these talents with enthusiasm. Her talents as a doll maker and seamstress benefited not only Shriner Children's Hospital but also St. Pius X of Shreveport, where she served by making prayer quilts, altar cloths, and baby blankets.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her husbands, William H. Osburn, in 1981 and Leonard Micinski, in 2020. She is survived by her daughters, Linda O. Carducci of Reston, VA, Karen O. Peters of Warrenton, VA, and Lauren K. Oliff of Foley, AL; son, Mark Osburn of Spring City, TN; grandchildren, Sonya C. Smith of Sterling, VA, Jonathan A. Peters of Reston, VA, Yvonne P. Patterson of Warrenton, VA, Dana M. Osburn of Brooklyn, NY, and Margaret Y. Osburn of Oakland, CA; and great-grandchildren, Malikai J. Patterson and Jeremiah I. Patterson.
