Zena LaNita Davis

SHREVEPORT, LA- A funeral service for Zena LaNita Davis, 91, will be held Thursday, August 10^th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. Denny Duron, Rev. Brian Opbroek, and Rev. Craig Johnson officiating. A visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Southside between 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017. Interment at 2:00 p.m. graveside, following funeral services, at the Old Pisgah Cemetery in Belmont, Louisiana. LaNita was born January 13^th, 1926 to Laura Evitt and Ovid Hayes in Marthaville, Louisiana. LaNita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Davis; son, James (Skip) Davis; brothers, Floyd Hayes and Marzell Hayes; sister, Cleo Lewis; and grandson, Chad Davis. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are daughter, Nancy Richardson; daughter in law, Lynn Davis; grandchildren, Rusty Richardson, Robin Cook and husband Jimmy, Todd Davis and wife Shiloh, and Michelle Davis; great grandchildren, Catie-Claire Richardson, Bailey Marie Cook, Savannah, Preston, Adalyn Davis, Kensley Davis, Taylor Rebolloso, Thomas and Emalee Bean; and special nieces and nephews. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Gilbert Hayes, Samuel Hayes, Nathan Hayes, Todd Davis, Jimmy Cook, and Rusty Richardson. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Bean and Preston Davis. Special thanks to caregivers Jaunicia Holmes and Shirley Redvine.
