Zumie O Breedlove

Coushatta, LA Celebration of life and going home service for Zumie O'Neal "Chuck" Breedlove, 90, was held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA at 1:00 PM with Rev. Olan McLaren officiating. Interment followed at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Coushatta, LA. Visitation was held on the same day from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with the service immediately following. Mr. Breedlove was born November 4, 1926 in Coushatta, LA to Zumie L. and Ella Rea Pickett Breedlove and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 9, 2017 in Coushatta, LA. He worked as a letter carrier with the U. S. Postal Service until his retirement. After his retirement, he kept busy gardening, continuing his walk of five miles daily, and caring for his family until his health failed him. Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Joy Loutilda Nails and Willie Bamburg Rutherford; and brothers, Henry A. Breedlove and James M. Breedlove. Left to cherish his memory are sons, Charles V. Breedlove (Sharon), Lloyd O. (Karla) Breedlove, Zumie T. Breedlove, all of Slidell, LA; daughter, Peggy J. Canulette (Mike) of Coushatta, LA; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous other friends and relatives.
