Ashley Paige Parchman

Funeral services for Ashley Paige Parchman, 40, will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Summer Grove Baptist Church, 8924 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Monday, April 26 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Summer Grove. Officiating the service will be Dr. Heath Peloquin. Ashley was born on May 10, 1980 to Gerald Clayton Hand and Rita Nell Hand in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ashley was a faithful Christian woman who loved the Lord first and foremost, her church, Papa, i.e., Robert, her husband, her family, her nephews and her grandkids. She was quick witted with a touch of sarcasm that you couldn't help but love. Ashley displayed an infectious sense of humor and personality that can't be adequately described in writing. Although she and Robert had no kids of their own, she played an active role in the lives of her grandkids. She made sure nails were clipped, teeth brushed and prayers said. They were in church every time the doors were open. Her and Robert's influence in the lives of the grandkids was instrumental in these kids accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I might add that all of them have taken that step. Talking about making a grandparent proud! Proverbs 22:6 reads, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Ashley will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Ashley is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Hand. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Robert Parchman; mother, Rita Albritton and husband, Bill; sister, Alison Bailey and husband, Mike; stepsons, Blake Parchman and wife, Mandy and Kyle Parchman and wife, Nikki; nephews, Connor Bailey and Caden Bailey; grandchildren, Braxton Parchman, Deacon Parchman, Denver Parchman, Leighton Parchman, Piper Parchman and Brayden Bridges. Honoring Ashley as pallbearers will be Mike Bailey, Braxton Parchman, Deacon Parchman, Kyle Parchman, Matt Tyson and Tim Purvis. Honorary pallbearers will be Denver Parchman, Blake Parchman, Connor Bailey and Caden Bailey. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Anil Veluyolu and his staff, Dr. Scott McRight, Tammy Harris, Dr. Richard Jacobson and the ER and ICU staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont for the care and compassion given to Ashley during these last few months.
