Billy Don Perritt

Arcadia - Funeral services for Billy Don Perritt, 85, will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Alabama Baptist Church in Arcadia. Interment will follow at Alabama Cemetery. Brother Jeff Hurst will officiate. A visitation will be held Friday, October 15, 2021, from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Billy Don was born November 4, 1935, in Arcadia, Louisiana to Jessie Clinton and Eva Harmon Perritt, and passed away October 13, 2021, in Ruston, Louisiana. He was a member of Alabama Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a degree in Geology. He worked as a Geologist for Geophysical Services Inc. 10 years before joining Arcadia Production Credit Association in 1966 as a loan officer and named association president. He retired in 1998 as president and chief executive officer of Northwestern Louisiana Production Credit Association. Billy Don also worked for the Alabama Water System and prepared peoples taxes. He served as a board member of both the Bienville Parish Community Association and the Alabama Cemetery Association. Billy Don loved his family, church and community, as well as a love for his land and farming. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Clinton Perritt and Eva Harmon Perritt; wife, Mary Perritt; son, Danny Perritt; grandson, Phillip McKnight; brother, Paul Perritt; and spouse Jackie Perritt. Billy Don is survived by his son, Don Perritt and wife Wendy; daughters, Dianna McKnight, and Delaine Walker and husband Kent; grandchildren, Stefanie Corso and husband Matthew, Charlie McKnight, Elizabeth Turner and husband Adam, Lauren Casey and husband Nathaniel, Adam Walker and wife Lainey, Dylan Perritt and wife Alexandra, Devin Barnett and Staci Bullock, many great grandchildren and other loving family and friends. Honoring Billy Don as pallbearers will be Adam Walker, Charlie McKnight, Dylan Perritt, Devin Barnett, Nathaniel Casey, and Tony Barrett. Honorary pallbearer will be Adam Turner. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Blackwelder and Dr. David Osafo and staff for the many years of compassion, care and service they provided.
