Evelyn Glass

Funeral services honoring the life of Gladys Evelyn Glass, 93, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2021at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the Marshall Street Chapel prior to the service. Interment will be held at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA. Evelyn Glass was born on May 10, 1927 in Bernice, LA and passed away peacefully on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Shreveport, LA, surrounded by her loving family. She is now in the arms of her Savior. In 1946, Evelyn married Thomas Glass, Sr. During their 47 years of marriage, they enjoyed fishing and working in the yard together. She was \"Granny\" to her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Evelyn is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Earl Glass, Sr.; parents, Henry and Gladys Wynn; brother, Emory Lee Freeman; and sister, Climmie Bearden. She is survived by son, Thomas Earl Glass, Jr. and wife, Charlotte of Benton, LA; daughters, Mary Patrick, Cynthia Raney and husband, Ron of Shreveport, LA and Edith Ave\'Lallemant and husband, Craig of Slidell, LA; sisters, Melvis Baxter of Ruston, LA and Margaret Crotwell of Brusly, LA; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Honoring Evelyn as pallbearers will be Ron Raney, Craig Ave\'Lallemant, Cody Ave\'Lallemant, Henry East, Andy Patrick, and James Patrick. The family would like to express special thanks to the caregivers at The Glen and Lifepath Hospice for their wonderful care, compassion, and love given to Evelyn.
