Frances was born on January 5, 1941 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Howard B. Prudhome and Jewel B. Renois Prudhome and passed away on March 21, 2021 in Shreveport. She was a resident of Belcher and worked as a secretary before retiring in 2020. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Oil City where she dedicated her time, energy, support and love to her church family and anyone she knew that was in need of a helping hand. She was truly one of God's angels. She and her late husband, Tommy Baker, owned and operated Baker Rodeo Company for over 40 years in Oil City, Frierson and the surrounding area. They enjoyed everything to do with the rodeo world. Frances is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommy Baker; and brothers, Roy and Kirby Prudhome. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rusty Baker; daughter, Renee Baker Jetton and husband, Steve; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Honoring Frances as pallbearers will be Marty Murphy, Allen Prudhome, Mike Bouillon, Brian Craig, David Pennington, and Michael Iman. Honorary pallbearers will be Quinton Prudhome, KC Murphy, Eric Tyler, Russ Farrar, Dale Walton, DJ Pennington, and Jeff Johnson. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Larry Sasaki and Krista Nippers, Dr. Robert Massingill and his staff, and the 2nd floor nurses and Cindy at Highland Hospital. Also we would like to thank her special friends, Pinky Scogin, Christy Edwards and Terry Tyler for all the love and care shown to Frances. She was very blessed to have these wonderful friends in her life. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
