She is preceded in death by her sister, Margaret; parents, Boyce and Aline Guimbellot; niece, Pam Champan; twin sister, Bettie Guimbellot Piercey; and sister, Patsy Chapman. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, John Warren Carr, Jr.; son, John Alexander Carr and his wife, Renee'; grandchildren, Carigan and Peyton; son, William (Billy) Gordon Carr and his girlfriend, Athena Clark; sister, Cindy Barton and her husband, Billy; nieces and nephews, Tessie, Gail, Wanda, Eddie, Niccie, Dusty, Anna, and her favorite cousin and traveling partner, Susan Sturdivant, along with Susan's "Dad", Pete. Freddie and Bettie were known as the Guimbellot twins growing up. They graduated Winnsboro High School in 1967. They left Winnsboro in their early 20s to work at the Central Bank in Monroe. During this time, Freddie met her husband, John. Together they moved to Shreveport in 1972 and bought a grocery store in North Shreveport. While running the store, Freddie continued to work in Shreveport at Louisiana Bank & Trust until 1974 when her first son, John was born. In 1983, Freddie became a school bus driver for a new school in Belcher, Herndon Magnet. John and Freddie spent the next 20 years supporting the growth of North Shreveport including the start of Herndon Magnet School and the building of Northwood's Football Stadium. They have touched the lives of almost every family in North Shreveport. Freddie retired from driving the school bus after 33 years to focus on her family and their advertising business. She wore many hats, but she will be most cherished for being the loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend that she was. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Christus Highland Hospital who helped care for Freddie showing compassion and incredible kindness to her and her family. Special thanks to Doctors Britain Auer, Arnold Barz, Randy Davis, Tharwat Ghattas, Scott Howard, Kurt Kampert, Milan Mody, Peyman Roohani, Craig Springmeyer, Stephen White and to her lifelong friend and family physician, Robert Hernandez. The family would also like to thank C.E. Gore, John and Freddie's neighbor, for all his help. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
