Ray and Clarace Ethel Forrest Ray and passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana. She was the fourth of five siblings. The family relocated to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1935 where she was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Georgia graduated from Capitol Hill High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Bob Wade. They married a year after graduation and Georgia followed her young husband to his first navel assignment in Orange Beach, California. Georgia and Bob settled in Bossier City, Louisiana, rearing four daughters. They were married for 35 years until Bob's unexpected death at age 54. Georgia stayed at home with her children during their younger years. Later, she returned to the work force as a loan secretary at Bossier Bank and Trust and subsequently, First National Bank. Her family will remember her as a fun, sassy and loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She skated down hills, did cartwheels and played flag football in the front yard with her children and her grandchildren. They saw her parasail, ride jet skis and bungie swing in her senior years. Georgia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" E. Wade; daughter, Tina Wade Burnham; parents, George Ray and Ethel Forrest Ray; sister, Wanda Oleta Barnett and brothers, Orval O. Ray, Norman L. Ray, and James D. Ray. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Tain Goza (Bob), Jeanne Daniels (Mark), Cindy Lou Waguespack (James); grandchildren, Patrick Goza (Katie), Megan Goza Vong (Jan Michael), Dustin Daniels, Amanda Burnham Porter, Cody Burnham, Jason Waguespack, Joshua Waguespack and Carmyn Waguespack; seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jim Burnham, sister-in-law, Sandra Harris and her much loved nieces and nephews. The family would like to express specials thanks to the staff and friends from Pilgrim Manor for many bright moments in her last years.
