Funeral services for Glenn Darward Watson, Sr., 87, will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mike Hawkins of Salem Baptist Church. Glenn was born on September 19, 1934 to Albert Thomas Watson and Sarah Rebecca Lucas Watson in Phoenix, Arizona and passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Stonewall, Louisiana. Glenn was a resident of Stonewall where he was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He worked as a tool and die maker in the manufacturing industry before retiring. Glenn enjoyed travelling. He had visited most of the states in the continental United States. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a private pilot. He loved fishing and camping and was very crafty with woodworking. Glenn was a very talented, interesting and charismatic man. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. Glenn is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eva Lois Watson; and son, Robert D'Wayne Watson; and one great-grandchild. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Glenn Watson, Jr., and wife, Nancy; daughters, Kathy Stephens and Brenda Green; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Honoring Glenn as pallbearers will be Jason Pace, Jeromey Pace, Nicholas Watson, TJ Green, Landon Graner, and Jaxon Franks. Honorary pallbearer will be Glenn Watson, Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to Joan Humphrey, Glenn's girlfriend of eleven years for all the love, care, devotion and support given to him over all these years. She brought him back to life after the loss of his wife, Eva. She was truly an angel sent from God.
