James Marcotte, 75, of Mansfield, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on January 28, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 located at Hunter Magnolia Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Bro. John Hatcher with Bro. Amador Santos assisting. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
James was born on May 25, 1945 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana to Joseph and Annie Marcotte.
Preceding James are his parents, Joseph Paul Marcotte and Annie Roblin Marcotte; and his sisters, Audrey Dupont, Joann Marcotte, and Nina Vead.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Marcotte of Mansfield, LA; his sons, Robert Young and wife Janie of Coweta, OK and Kevin Young and wife Lisa of Mansfield, LA; his daughter, Toni Smith and husband Ricky of Dubberly, LA; his grandchildren, Angela Thomason and husband Kevin of Alva, OK, Missy Talbot and husband Andy of Colorado Springs, CO, Christi Hughey of Tulsa, OK, Sarah Young of Coweta, OK, Aaron Young and wife Jessica of Shreveport, LA, Chris Young and wife Heather of Bossier City, LA, Stephanie Gearhart and husband Adam of Shreveport, LA, Meaghan Perkins and husband David of Bossier City, LA, Mallorie Smith of Shreveport, LA, and Hailey Procell and husband Chris of Shreveport, LA; along with 19 great-grandchildren.
Honoring James as pallbearers will be Kevin Thomason, Aaron Young, Adam Gearhart, Chris Procell, and Brett Cloninger. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Adam Perkins, Braydon Procell, Lawson Norris, Dayton Thomason, Kyle Perkins, Noah Talbot, John Luke Procell, and Callen Talbot.
