Bossier City, LA - Services for Leo Roy Lewis, Jr. will be 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Andrew Elston. Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Aurora, CO. Leo was born July 16, 1942 in Houston, TX and passed away August 25, 2019 in Bossier City, LA. He retired from the aerospace industry as a systems engineer. Leo loved all things about the Colorado mountains, including skiing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Lewis; parents, Leo Roy Lewis, Sr. and Scharmel Sterrett Elliott Lewis and by a brother, Tom Lewis and his wife, Carolyn. Leo is survived by his son, Leo Roy Lewis, III of Aurora, CO, sisters, Yvonne Capps and husband, Dwayne of Hunt, TX, Velma Wilks and husband, Keith of Slaton, TX, Tina Lewis of McKinney, TX and Sue Dennis and husband, Jim of Davenport, IA; brothers, John Lewis and wife, Sophia of Benton, LA, Robert Lewis and wife, Nancy of Bastrop and three grandchildren, Keira, Riley and Vaughn Lewis. He is also survived by numerous beloved nephews and nieces.
