A graveside service for Marjorie Loraine Fanta Owen Ward, 95, will be held at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent, Shreveport, LA at 11: 00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Marjorie was born on November 21, 1925 in Shreveport, LA and passed away peacefully in her Keithville, LA home on Friday, April 16, 2021. Marjorie graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 1942. She worked at Commercial National Bank in Shreveport for 30 years and retired as Assistant Vice President in the certificates department. She was active in the American Business Women's Association and served as past President. She was a long standing member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Shreveport. Marjorie loved traveling and playing bridge with her friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Loraine Fanta; a brother, Fred Fanta and her three husbands, Harold E. Owen, Cecil P. Ward and Richard Brown. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Jackie Lewis of Shreveport; her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Carol Owen of Tyler, TX; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sandy Fanta of Bossier City; two sisters-in-law, Alice Fanta of Westlake, LA and Yvonne Douglas of Haughton, LA; a brother-in-law, Dale Owen of Pontotoc, MS; three wonderful granddaughters, Heidi, Christine, and Brandi Lewis; three great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren, all who knew her as "Oma" and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Lewis, Robert Hall, Bill Mackey, Mike Carroll, Quinton Lewis, Tommy Shaw and Justin Buck. Marjorie's family would like to thank her caregivers, Gena Sanders and Rae Franklin, and Hand-in-Hand Hospice staff and nurses. They all gave amazing care to Marjorie in her final days.
