Mary Ruth Frank

Services for Mary Ruth Sorrell Frank, 82, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will be at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on June 17, 1938 to John Morris Sorrell and Mary Stewart Archibald Sorrell. She was a 1957 graduate of Fair Park High School and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport, Louisiana. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Ruby Taylor of Bethany, Louisiana. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Philip William Frank, Ret. Lt. Col. U.S. Army Reserves; three sons, Robert Shoemaker and wife, Susan of Monument, Colorado, Randy Shoemaker and wife, Jennifer of Tampa, Florida, and Philip J. Frank of Nashville, Tennessee; and her sister, Marjorie Sorrell of Keatchie, Louisiana. Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Robert Shoemaker, Randy Shoemaker, Philip J. Frank, James Jefferson, James Jefferson, Jr., Don Hickey and Jim Fetsch.
