At a young age, she moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where she met and married the love of her life. She enjoyed time with her family and friends and her church family. She was a woman of much faith and loved the Lord and shared her faith in God. She was a faithful servant, a wife, a mother and grandmother. She sacrificed for her family and was a blessing to her community, family and friends. She loved doing her lifelong hobby of ceramics and was a Duncan Ceramics certified teacher. She was an instructor for the Caddo Council on Aging and her church. She also loved painting scenery pictures. Bea is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward H. Gates; five brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are her three loving daughters, Victoria Behan and husband, Carl, Sharon McClung and husband, Keith, and Melanie Gates. She will be treasured as Mamaw to her grandchildren, Amy R. Prather, Lindsey B. Bond and husband, Garry, Stephanie B. Snow, Nicholas E. Behan and wife, Sara, and Heather N. Heard; great-grandchildren, Cole Prather, Faith Prather, Maggie Bond, Joseph Snow, Brandon Snow, Michael Behan, Matthew Behan, and Harley Behan.
