Paul Frederick Baker

A celebration of the life of Paul Frederick Baker, 56, will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. To allow time for friends and family to remember Paul's legacy of love, friendship, and Christ-like charity, a visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. Pauls' oldest son, Jacob, will be officiating the service and honoring his dad for the great man he was and for the example he set to all who knew him. Paul was born on July 29, 1964, in Shreveport Louisiana and passed in peace on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, into the arms of his savior Jesus Christ. He was one of five children raised in love by his parents Lavelle Elliot Baker and Thelma Mamie Baker in Shreveport. Paul had a brilliant mind and experienced overwhelming successes in numerous business ventures. Everything he put his hands prospered. The majority of his career was spent as the founder of Automotive Reconditioning Center and Southern Comfort Trucks where he continuously made our streets a little more fun. Once this chapter of life came to a close, Paul started a successful construction firm that still provides for his sons and their families to this day. The greatest lesson Paul taught his children was to live generously and never let your right hand know what your left was doing when doing good for others. He understood what it meant for his reward to be in heaven and since he's there now, we honor his greatest trait.....generosity. Paul lived by this principle and blessed an overwhelming amount of people through the abundance God provided to him. He lived and loved simply. The love of Christ was always upon Paul. His fun-loving spirit was contagious and he brightened each and every room he entered. It was apparent to all that he loved living life with his wife Susan "Charlette" Baker, sons Jacob & Jeremiah Baker and countless other friends and family that benefited from knowing his tremendous joyful spirit. Fun was always on his mind. Some of Paul's favorite things were beach trips, hunting, fishing, cooking for special occasions, and spontaneous adventures. Of course, what would all these adventures be if he didn't bring as many people as he could along with him? Paul will be remembered for his love of fun, teasing jokes, generous spirit, joyful smile, and witty, sometimes corny, sense of humor. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his wife of 38 years, Susan Charlette Baker; sister, Cyndi Hutchinson and husband Brian; sons, Jacob Baker and wife, Nichole, Jeremiah Baker and wife, Lillian; Beautiful grandchildren that called him "Pop", Lexie Baker, Reagan Baker, Gemma Baker, Judah Baker, London Baker, Erica Baker and Hazel Baker and many loving nieces and nephews who knew him as Punky Paul. The family wishes to thank the Guest House for the care and compassion given to Paul during his time there. With a special thanks to Andrea Jackson, (Dra to us) Chris Bihm, Suze Brown, and all of the staff. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Paul's honor. Children always mattered most to him. For the family and friends who cannot be with us, we invite you to join ZOOM live stream on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. CST.
