HOMER, LA: A memorial service was held for Mr. James "Randall" Pepper, age 71, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA, on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., Brother Samuel T. Moses, officiated. The family received friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Randall was born July 30, 1950, in El Dorado, AR, to James E. and Helen Simpson Pepper. He entered into rest on Thursday, November 18, 2021, in Shreveport, LA. Randall loved living on Lake Claiborne and hunting at Sunnyside Hunting Club. He retired from Louisiana State Police in 1992. Randall is now able to visit with his parents and sister and play with his best fur friend, "Mr. Howdy Pepper." He just recently killed the biggest deer of his hunting career and was very excited. Randall was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Ann Pepper. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Rocky Rester Pepper; a son, Brian Pepper and wife Brandi of Lisbon, LA; a step-daughter, Dixie L. Smith of Bossier City, LA; two brothers, Darrell Pepper and wife Susan of Summerfield, LA, and Paul Pepper and wife Melissa of Farmerville, LA: two grandchildren, Cole and Laini Holloway; a nephew and two nieces; along with numerous relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Sunnyside Hunting Club, as well as, Barry Johnson, Johnny Dison, and Rick Christian. In lieu of flowers honoring Randall, his family suggests memorials be made to M.D. Anderson.
