Noble III, 84, will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:00 o'clock a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at 1:00 o'clock p.m. at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Monday, May 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Officiating the service will be Reverend Bill Green. T.P. was born on January 10, 1937 to Mable Susan Taylor Noble and Thomas P. Noble II, in Port Arthur, Texas and he passed away on May 5, 2021 from a broken heart over the recent passing of his wife of more than 57 years, Delores Ann Brown Noble. He and Delores will be sorely missed by their many friends and family. T.P. was a resident of Shreveport and a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in both the Army National Guard of Louisiana and the United States Army Reserve. T.P. initially served as a mechanic in the 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas upon his entry in December of 1962 and ultimately obtained the rank of Master Sergeant before his retirement while serving in the 4013th USA Garrison in October of 1996. He was known among his military peers as "a soldier's soldier", always taking care of his troops, while still being responsible to his duties as a leader. The trust he developed in relationships with both commissioned and non-commissioned officers over the years enabled him to accomplish needed tasks that would not have otherwise been able to be accomplished, and for that he was well known and appreciated. His sense of honor, duty and patriotism was always easily seen. He graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport in 1955 and LeTourneau College in Longview, Texas in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Science. T.P. married Delores on January 13, 1964 in Shreveport. They initially attended Queensborough Baptist Church in Shreveport and were lastly, members for more than 20 years of Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, Louisiana where they were always active in the mission field. Their greatest desire was for spreading the Gospel and witnessing for the Lord. T.P. was an only child and a journal written by his mother for several years, beginning shortly after his first birthday, described T.P.'s sweet, but curious nature and his parents great love for him. To have known T.P. and Delores was to love them. They were inseparable and shared a true bond of love. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Delores. Left to cherish his memory are his first cousins, Carrol Noble of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Sarah Jane Noble Newton of Cleveland, Mississippi; Linda Noble Lange of Jackson, Mississippi; Olivia Taylor of Round Rock, Texas; and many distant cousins, including Imie Noble Carpenter of Hamburg, Arkansas. He also left many "cousins-in-law", who considered him just as much family, as if he'd been related by blood. The family would like to express thanks to the doctors and nurses that cared for him in his last days, and a special thanks to Mrs. Thelma Poland, Mrs. Viva May and Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Stanford for their unwavering assistance to T.P. and Delores over the course of the last year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, Louisiana.
